About the Author

Joe Bergamini is recognized internationally as a performing drummer and educator based in New York. As a best-selling author, Joe has written authorized musical biographies with drumming legends Neil Peart: Taking Center Stage (winner of Best Educational Product in the 2013 Modern Drummer Readers Poll), GADD: A Life in Tim;, COBHAM: The Drumming & Music of Billy Cobham; and Stewart Copeland: Drumming in The Police & Beyond. 

Stewart Copeland  is an American musician & composer best known for his work as the drummer of the British rock band The Police from 1977-1986 and from 2007-2008. Before playing with the Police, Copeland played drums with English rock band Curved Air. As a composer, Copeland’s work includes the scores for Wall Street, Men at Work, Good Burger, We Are Your Friends, and television themes for The Equilizer, The Amanda Show, Dead Like Me, and more. He has also written pieces for ballet, opera, and orchestra. Copeland’s distinctive drum sound & uniqueness of style has made him one of the most popular and sought after drummers of all time. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police in 2003 and Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2005.
